"We're in this business to make people happy."
— Jim Belford, president
Seamless Data Systems has proudly served Emporia and the surrounding areas since 2001. It was founded by Jim Belford, who had a degree in electronics, experience in the telecom industry, and a passion for helping others fix their computer problems. He and his wife, Karen, started Seamless Data Systems with three employees in a small office in downtown Emporia. Since then, Seamless has grown to serve hundreds of customers across the Flint Hills.
Seamless Data Systems specializes in unique computer and IT solutions for customers of all kinds—from individual users and small businesses to banks and nonprofits, we have a little something for everyone. Our slogan, "Computer solutions simply done right," is our core belief that you deserve computer services from a company that's ethical, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Here at Seamless, we pride ourselves on providing honest, friendly, complete service to our customers. We love what we do—and after nearly twenty years in business, you could say we've gotten pretty good at it!
Meet the Team
These are the people who help us do the things we do, every day.
President & Founder
Jim is our founder and fearless leader. He holds a degree in electronics from DeVry University and has loved to tinker with computers, radios, and all things technology since he was a boy. Jim is a huge ham radio enthusiast—in fact, he's a member of the Emporia Amateur Radio Society.
As co-founder of Seamless, Karen deftly manages HR to payroll and everything in between. She's our office cheerleader—if you catch her on a holiday, she's almost certain to be dressed for the occasion. In her free time, Karen loves gravel grinding in the Flint Hills, snow skiing, and volunteering.
Lori is our office manager and the first smiling face you see when you walk in our door. She's the "Service Ticket Master" (it's just as important as it sounds), so she keeps our engineers busy! When in doubt, Lori looks to her mother for advice—but if she's not available, the Magic 8-Ball always has an answer.
Jacob's role as a network engineer means he does troubleshooting, troubleshooting, and more troubleshooting. He studied at Kansas City Community College, Flint Hills Technical College, and Emporia State, and is the youngest of four brothers. In his not-so-free time, Jacob loves watching sports, especially basketball.
Nelson currently attends Emporia High School and plans to attend Emporia State next year. He's a self-taught full-stack developer—after learning Python and HTML/CSS last year, he took over management of EHS's website! He's now on to learning SQL for scripting use at Seamless.
As a network engineer, Alex works closely with our managed service clients to provide them with the support they need. He studied at Flint Hills Technical College and is a big video game and anime fan.
